Podiatrist
Podiatrist who utilize x-rays in their office are required to initially have a Radiation Protection Survey and a Physics Survey (Physics Evaluation) performed on their unit. The Radiation Protection Survey confirms that x-ray exposure in all occupied adjacent areas around the x-ray installation are within the limits established by the State DEP. Monmouth Physics Associates will also make recommendations to provide you and your staff with the safest techniques when taking x-rays. For the Physics Survey the physicist evaluates the x-ray unit to insure that all of its components are operating within the State and manufacturers specifications. Initially a quality assurance manual needs to be established. During each annual visit the physicist will review the quality assurance program and the quality control test that are performed throughout the year.
